What is CoolSculpting?

The CoolSculpting procedure kills fat cells with cool gel pads that are placed on problem areas and provide controlled cooling, known as cryolipolysis.

What can I expect during a treatment session?

Patients report feeling intense cold at the treatment location for the first five to ten minutes. Suction pressure is also applied to assist in the process. This non-surgical counterpart to liposuction is so comfortable that patients usually spend much of the procedure watching TV, reading a book, or even napping.

The session ends with a massage of the treated area for two or three minutes to optimize your results. Your lymphatic system processes the destroyed fat cells and your liver then naturally processes them as waste before they are eliminated from your body. Those fat cells are gone for good. Because CoolSculpting is not invasive, there is little to no downtime. Many patients return to work immediately after their appointment.

How many treatments will I need?

Most people require two sessions, each lasting between 30 minutes and an hour.

What results can I expect?

Some results may be seen as soon as three weeks after the first session. The second appointment is typically scheduled four to six weeks after the first one. Maximum results are usually seen a couple of months after treatment, and your body can continue to flush out fat cells for four to six months.
